EDINA, MN (October 9, 2013) – The Coldwell Banker Burnet Foundation supports housing-related needs of people at all stages of life in the communities they serve. With this mission in mind, the Foundation partnered with several new charities: Salvation Army Grace Place, Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners, Spare Key and Ronald McDonald House® of Rochester. These organizations are in addition to the Foundation’s current partners, Bridging and Ronald McDonald House Charities® Upper Midwest.
To date the Foundation hosts a variety of events including an annual golf outing, silent auction and local office fundraisers. In addition, the Foundation has launched a new web site, CBBurnetgives.org. The site will allow visitors to donate to the Foundation, view stories about each partner and see all the Foundation activities and events.
“As Realtors we know the importance of having a place to call ‘home’ and are committed to making a difference in the communities that we serve,” said Robin Peterson, president of Coldwell Banker Burnet. “Whether it’s helping to bridge that gap between those ‘who have’ and those ‘who have not’ with the basic necessities or helping provide a supportive home for families of seriously-ill children, the Foundation is committed to helping those in need.”
Partner Background:
Salvation Army Grace Place – Provides a temporary shelter to homeless individuals and families residing in the St. Croix River Valley. Grace Place Shelter promotes self-sufficiency by providing a safe and secure environment, while giving guidance to promote independence.
